Hosting Friends at my House for the First Time

I've had my house for five years now.

How many friends have I had over? none. Well, that changed this year. Yay.

You ask, how did that happen?

Well, in January of this year I went to a Vision Board Party that my sister hosted at her house.

You pretty much create a vision board from magazine clippings and you glue them to your blank paper. You cut out everything that you envision for yourself this year. In this example, it was for this year 2019.

So, on there I cut out images that had fancy dinner parties, food, wine, pretty decorations, friends smiling at each other and having a good time. I put other stuff on there that have also come to realization because I was intentional and I knew in my heart and mind that I WOULD BE ACCOMPLISHING ALL OF THESE THINGS.

But that's another story.

Basically for the year 2019, I made it one of my goals that I would have friends over and I would host them. I would have food like coffee for brunch or wine for lunch time.

So, I did just that.

After not having people over a lot, besides my family for birthdays, etc. I invited some of my neighbor women friends and friends I knew to my house around March of 2019.

This is a picture of that day before my friends came over. That is also my daughter right there.

I had some kid friendly stuff since one of my neighbors did have two young aged kids that are not school aged yet like my daughter.

It was perfect my daughter played with her kids while we adults talked and had a pleasant and relaxed morning breakfast. (My two older kids were at school).

These pictures I also took before my friend got there.

This time it was only one friend, but it was also very fun.

Nothing was forced and it was also very pleasant.

It's August and I still have more hosting that I have in store. With Fall around the corner it's time once again to have coffee and cookies. And I can't wait.
